About Me!
Lucy Swinson recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chapman University where she received her BFA in Theatre Performance and minor in Musical Theatre. She is a very proud Oakland native, and very unfortunately, a dogless only child. Her first word was “doggy” so she believes having a dog is her destiny. It has not been fulfilled yet. She first knew she’d be an actor at three years old when she memorized an entire scene from “Bambi” and acted it out in her bedroom for her parents, word for word, as all of the parts. She never looked back. Now, she is still a “Bambi” lover, but more importantly still just as passionate about acting. She started her journey in musical theatre, and that evolved into an interest in all things performing. She has become an avid Shakespeare enthusiast, recently studying and performing with Prague Shakespeare Company. Through her time at Chapman she performed in six mainstage productions, and won an award for “Outstanding Performance”. She has also performed professionally across California. When she isn’t acting, Lucy can be found with her face buried in a Greek Mythology book, passionately singing Taylor Swift and Sondheim in her car, walking other people’s dogs, or crocheting a little Bee stuffed animal named Cornelius. However, her biggest joys are making people laugh and wearing her heart on her sleeve, which she hopes to do for the rest of her life.
